APPENDIX A – UPGRADING TO NEXSTORM

With this Free NexStorm Lite edition which ships with all Boltek StormTracker and LD-250 lightning detectors

you get the same reliable and accurate thunderstorm distance ranging and tracking functions that are also

available in the standard edition of NexStorm.

The Lite edition lacks however the advanced Internet publishing and real-time data sharing features, as well

as some additional lightning analysis features which are only available in the standard edition. It also does not

include any of the extras that are bundled with the standard edition of NexStorm.

Upgrade to NexStorm standard edition to get the following additional software and features:

• StormVue Java applet for viewing near real-time NexStorm lightning data on your web page

• SPARK Compact Lightning Explorer for viewing NexStorm data on your Java MIDP 2.0/CLDC1.1 mobile

• Automatic, in-memory screenshot capture

• Automatic TRAC report text file generation and storage to disk

• Automatic exporting of the StormVue datafile

• Automatic exporting of the SPARK.CLX datafile

• Full FTP capabilities for uploading the exported data and screenshots to your web server

• Full File Copy capabilities for replicating the exported data and screenshots within a LAN

• Additional 24,12,8 and 4 hours differentiated strike rate graph

• Full FlashGate functionality which will enable you to join one of our StrikeStar networks, and will also

allow third-party applications to integrate live NexStorm lightning data into their own custom displays.

• TRAC Info pop-up, point-and-click on a thunderstorm on the map to view characteristics and intensity
